Camper is a favourite with our customers, especially in the winter season with their failsafe knee high and ankle length boots, so you will be pleased to know that the first pieces of our autumn and winter collection from the Spanish brand are now instore.
This seasons drop includes knee high boots in a variety of materials, suede and leather. Ankle boots are structured and military style with laces and zips, whilst a more slouchy pirate style boot is available made of suede and leather with buckles and strapping.
Also back in this season we have our camper slippers, which were much sought after last winter…they come in a multitude of bright cheery colours and can not be beaten for comfort, just the thing to keep your tooties warm this winter, they also have a durable rubber sole making them oh so useful….
Like the British summertime our Camper boots and slippers never hang around for long, so make the most of the change in weather as the perfect excuse to get your winter footwear.
Hopefully our new season bits will start to make their way online soon, but until then we recommend you make a trip to your local Catfish store to aviod disappointment.

… it’s been a hectic couple of weeks here at Catfish Cambridge, so we thought we’d take some time out of our busy schedule to give you the lowdown on what’s been going on…
The sale continues to be a runaway sucess. With further reductions being introduced to many brands, we’ve been working our red biros hard adjusting price tags.
The Autumn/Winter stock keeps flooding in, much to our delight. This morning we recieved multiple boxes of Camper boots and shoes, which are all GORGEOUS! As well as footwear, expect to see our rails full of new Fred Perry, Carhartt and GStar, all fresh in today.
We’ve been rearranging the shop quite a lot recently. It’s amazing how a shuffle around can change the way a space looks, and it also draws peoples attention to clothes that were previously hiding at the back of the rails.
That’s the basic jist of what we’ve been up to, come say hello and tell us what you’ve been up to!
There seems to be a theme or a cause for pretty much every week or day in the year nowadays, with things such as National Beard week and National Pirate day to name a few.
But, today is the start of a week we at Catfish reckon is one of the most important…from the 24th July to the 1st August is Save our Butterflies week.
This week is dedicated to celebrating the beauty of British butterflies, and promoting ways to stop their decline.
Although for most of us butterflies herald the start of summer, they are also good indicators of how the enviroment is faring as they are sensitive to even the slightest change in conditions, and this is why, many people believe their numbers have declined so rapidly over the last few years, with even some species becoming extinct.
So join in with this week, see the Butterfly Conservation website for how you can get involved, you will be joining the ranks of people such as nature giant himself Sir David Attenborough, who is its President and of course us Cats.
So next time you see a butterfly flitting by remember its not just for summer.
The quirky french fashion house delivers yet another fabulous collection. Catfish Norwich stock the ready to wear line Sonia by Sonia Rykiel and A/W 2010 is instore and online now.
Sonia by Sonia Rykiel was launched in 1990 as a smart, trendy little sister to the original line. This seasons collection includes her trademark print tshirts and also heavy coats for the chillier months. Famous for her knits and use of wool these coats are a must have for winter. Whatever your chosen style there is sure to be one for you, our personal favourite is the double breasted woolen coat teamed with some riding boots and jeans for a perfect Autumn Winter look.
Head down to Catfish Norwich to explore the whole collection.
The Catfish sale is still thriving, but we want to give some of the brands new season items a bit of spotlight as well.
Here at Catfish Cambridge, the new stock’s just beginning to creep its way onto the rails, and we’re liking what we see. Including Mina Dresses, more Diesel (we had our second drop yesterday), Nu Balance, Nike, Anglomania and Fred Perry, there’s all sorts of goodies coming our way.
The majority of this isn’t up on the website yet, so make sure you come and say hello to the Cats in Cambridge and Norwich. For those of you who can’t make it to the stores, we’ll keep you updated, watch this blog space!
This is my favourite song for chilled out vibes when the sunshines about…its not a new one but sometimes the old ones are the best ones…this tune has a good summery bass line and laid back lyrics, the kind of song that will make you feel a little bit cooler after you listen to it…the videos pretty good too…check it out on youtube…here is todays tune of the day, Short skirt/ Long jacket from Cake.
The new upcoming season of Autumn/Winter brings us a fresh drop of Diesel clothes. Their distinctive patterns and designs are recognised the world over, it’s always a popular brand here at Catfish Cambridge. So lets give you a run through…
The red Departy Dress is a must have. It’s sweater style and chunky knit, make it the perfect transition piece to get you through Autumn to Winter. Dress it up with tights and boots for the colder weather and you’re good to go.
Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves though, it’s still Summer and there’s still plenty of sunshine to be had. This purple print Druby Dress will be a great addition to your wardrobe. It’s vest style cut means you can wear this dress as intended, or layer it up and wear as a top when it starts getting chilly.
The cream Mudande Sweater is a cosy little number, and the colour means it will go with anything. This sweater looks brilliant teamed with jeans, alternatively it’s smart enough to wear with a dress or skirt.
TShirts go with anything and come in a multitude of different designs, so they’re always on the top of our shopping list. This Timby TShirt is one of the new Diesel offerings. With it’s rock and roll edge, whilst still remaining girly, we think this one’s going to fly off the rails.
We’re loving the new jeans that have arrived. In particular the dark denim Livy Jean, which is Diesels take on the skinny jean. The figure hugging, slim cut and the narrow, but not skin tight fit at the ankle make them a pleasure to wear.
