In the medieval times though, it was a different kettle of fish. The thriving wool trade brought in folk from all over Europe and by 1202 it got so dam prosperous that the Abbot of Bury St Edmunds kicked off about it over shadowing his market. These days Lavenham is all about the quilting of course. The brand Lavenham has been producing classic quilted items for both humans and horses since 1969. Renowned for their high quality craftsmanship and traditional British design, Lavenham’s in-house style is ageless.
